During times of celebration or sadness, what is more welcoming or comforting than a homemade chocolate chip cookie, a piece of chocolate cake, a slice of apple pie or a fresh blueberry muffin? Over thirty volunteer bakers on the Busy Bakers Committee help to bring joy and comfort to our parish by sharing their baking talents.
These talented bakers play an important behind-the-scenes role for the many events of parish life. Some are called upon to bake for funerals; some help bake for the monthly coffee and doughnut social after Sunday Masses. When it is time to welcome new members to St. Joseph parish, the baking committee helps them to feel at home with homemade cakes, cookies, and other baked goodies.
A growing committee, the Busy Bakers welcomes new members. There are no meetings to attend – the only committee responsibility is a willingness to bake, whenever possible, for a few special occasions in the parish during the year. If you feel that baking is the way to share your talents with the St. Joseph Parish community, please call the parish office to join this much appreciated group of baking enthusiasts.
