The Gabriel Project

The Gabriel Project is a national, parish-based pregnancy assistance resource. Our concerns go beyond being assured that a child’s life has been spared or that a mom has been provided with initial baby items. A Gabriel Project parish’s concerns go beyond serving its own parishioners and its parish’s boundaries. We seek to serve all pregnant mothers in need regardless of their personal situation, the size of their family, their age or their baby’s gestational stage. The participant (called a Gabriel Angel) receives calls from those in need, helps to discern how the “Gabriel Project” can minister to their spiritual needs and assist them and their family with their physical needs.  Gabriel Angels are invited to participate at a level that would not interfere with their family responsibilities.  Additional angels are needed to assist the Gabriel Project with communicating its mission and needs within the parish, with the project donors and other participating churches.

The St. Joseph Respect Life Committee

The St. Joseph Respect Life Committee serves the parish community through the education and promotion of the dignity of all human life from conception to natural death.  The group meets on the first Thursday of the month with the Parish Council of Catholic Women and plans for a variety of Respect Life projects throughout the year.  New volunteers, both men and women, are welcome and appreciated.

40 Days For Life

40 Days For Life is made up of three components:

Prayer and Fasting:  believers throughout our city are invited to join together for 40 days of fervent prayer and fasting for an end to abortion

Peaceful Vigil:  stand for life during a 40-day peaceful public witness outside the local Planned Parenthood facility

Community Outreach:  help take a positive, upbeat pro-life message to every corner of our city through media efforts, advocacy, and public visibility.

Beginning February 17th, join the pro-life prayer vigilers, prayerfully and peacefully, from the area churches, across the street from Planned Parenthood during Lent. Please give up an hour of your time to pray for moms, dads and babies. There will be leaders present on Tuesdays, 9am to 2pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays (Abortion days) from 8am to 2:30pm.
