Those serving in the Lector Ministry are responsible for proclaiming the scripture readings at weekend and holy day Masses, as well as the special liturgies held during Holy Week.  Lectors for weekdays are scheduled separately.  Lectors receive training prior to commissioning and are expected to have studied the day’s readings and to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before their assigned Mass.  This ministry is open to those who are comfortable with public speaking and are interested in proclaiming God’s Word.
