Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

The honor and special privilege of the Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is to assist the celebrant in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass.  A four-hour training session is required.  Robes are provided or may be purchased for personal use.  Special Ministers are scheduled for all weekend and Holy Day Masses.  Each Minister serves approximately one or two times per month.  A separate schedule is prepared for weekday Masses.  Additional Ministers are urgently needed for the 7:30 a.m., 9::00 a.m. and the 10:30  Sunday Masses.  Please consider accepting a calling to this special ministry as a small sacrifice for the One who made the greatest Sacrifice of all.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the Sick

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion for the Sick have the rewarding experience of bringing Holy Communion to those in nursing homes, the hospital and to homebound parishioners.  Monthly visits to nursing homes consist of praying with the residents and sharing the parish bulletin.  Time required is 1½ to 2 hours per month.  Weekly or monthly visits are made to the homebound as requested by members of the families.  Time commitment is approximately 30 min. to 1 hour per visit.
